Archer TLT Inc. is a Calgary based company offering a comprehensive training program, focusing on transportation and logistics dispatching. Our target markets are individuals looking to develop new skills, and transition into the transportation industry. This is a seven day course consisting of lectures, presentations, group discussions, as well as, hands on instruction using industry software in our computer lab.

What

The skills required to dispatch a truck, are the same ones required in the taxi, tour bus, delivery and service provider industries. You require strong organizational, customer service, and personal time management skills. Also the ability to handle the details of a project, while still seeing the big picture. These are the skills today's employers are looking for. These are the skills we are teaching in our interactive 7-day dispatching course. 

Where

Classroom

We are conveniently located in the heart of the industrial and transportation hub of the Foothills Industrial park. Overlooking the intersection of 52nd. Ave and 72nd St SE, with a steady flow of commercial traffic, this is the perfect backdrop for our Dispatcher Course.  This location provides us with ample space and seating, a small kitchenette and dedicated washroom facilities. We  provide a computer lab for clients to use for the duration of the class. It consists of Lenovo T440s Thinkpads with Intel I5 processors and running Windows 10 operating systems. The hardware is current and the operating system is one they are going to find in the workplace.  

What's Included

Each participant will receive a course binder loaded with reference materials, coffee/snacks and lunch for the 7 days of the course.

In addition to the content and certificates, clients will participate in 3 seminars:

  • Hours of Service Certificate

  • Conflict Resolution Certificate

Upon completion of the course, clients receive industry and provincially recognized certificates in:

  

  • Transportation Operations and Dispatching from Archer Training Solution Inc.

  • Conflict Resolution Getting Alone in the Workplace from Archer Training Solutions Inc.

  • Fatigue Management for the Supervisor from Fleet Safety International

  • Hours of Service / Load Securement / Over Dimensional Trucking from Fleet Safety International

The cost is $2500. plus G.S.T. per spot.

 

We supply each participant with a course binder loaded with reference materials, as well as, classroom instructed and online certificate courses. These provide the participants with skills they will use on a daily basis in dispatching, route planning and crew scheduling positions in today's fast paced transportation and service industries.

We will provide coffee and bottled water through the day. We also try to give our clients a taste of Calgary during their stay. We order lunch from well known Calgary restaurants such as Spolumbos, Coco Brooks Pizza, Edo Japan, Jane Bond BBQ, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken, and Eastfeild Deli.

Payment is due prior to the start of the course.

Refunds will be supplied only to those participants who cancel in writing, two weeks prior to the first day of the course they are enrolled in.
